How a steel design is made?

First of all, steel structure design is a process. It is the owner of the structure that initiates this process. The purpose of use of the structure, the duration of the investment and the budget of the investment are the most decisive factors. The purpose of the structure will be the most determinant of these factors. Eventually, the other items are the problems that fall within the scope of the investor's expertise and the investor will be the guide. After determining the purpose of use of the building, if the building housing, hotel, store and so on. Such a structure will come to the fore during the Architectural group project process. If the building is a warehouse, hangar, silo, etc., it will be a static group and a mechanical group router.

Design Steps

In order to determine the loads affecting the system, load values ​​will be taken from ASCE7 specification.
SAP2000 will be generated accordance with the architectural project.
According to the soil survey report, earthquake loading will be performed in the computer model.
Steel designs will be made according to AISC360/LRFD.

BIM Modelling

The presentation of the project is as important as the calculations of a project. Although many packages in the market help in this regard, our preference is to make project presentations with millimeter precision with dwg format General View, Manufacturing and Parts drawings that we use using TEKLA STRUCTURES program.
